New River Gorge South Loop
Discover the southern section of the New River Gorge National Park on this 150-mile guided adventure loop that blends scenic backroads, winding gravel, and forest trails through the heart of southern West Virginia. Designed for beginner to intermediate dual-sport and ADV riders, this full-day ride captures everything that makes Appalachia unforgettable — mountain views, river crossings, small-town charm, and rugged beauty at every turn.
Starting from our base in Meadow Creek, we head south through the Summer County, visiting overlooks, historic towns, and roads few travelers ever see. Riders will travel to Keeney's Knob - the highest point in Summers County, explore the scenic views from Freezeland Mountain, stop and walk the boardwalk at Sandstone Falls, and visit several key scenic and cultural landmarks along the way.
This loop offers about 50% gravel and 50% pavement, making it the perfect balance for riders looking to practice ADV skills without the stress of extreme terrain. Each participant receives a GPX/KMZ route file after the tour, so you can relive the ride or explore it again on your own. Optional Add-ons
