I met Paul through a friend who recommended him to guide some friends and me on a two day adventure through some lighter off road journey through parts of West Virginia and Virginia. Our group included men ages 45 to 83. I was the rookie, but our group had some serious adventure riders who have been on trips all over the world. So a challenge for any experienced guide (rookies to experts) and Paul made us all feel well taken care of.
Paul and his wife Lauren had spent the previous weekend riding the route to make sure things were as they recalled and there were appropriate rest stops and lunch spots. During the two days we had inevitable mechanical issues and a few falls, but Paul handled the issues like a pro.
All and all a very impressive experience made possible by Paul's expert guiding and knowledge of all facets of adventure riding. I would recommend Paul without reservation.
I’ve done two different tours with Paul. He gets a 5 star review! He’s a pro with something to offer to riders of all levels and especially to those looking to experience WV backcountry in a way that would be hard to do by themselves. After years of exploring the region, he has masterfully pieced together several different rides of different lengths and different riding levels that link together all the best sections of wild and wonderful WV into super fun, challenging and seamless long loops.
I appreciated how he helped me (a beginner/intermediate rider) with good riding tips in general and specific instruction for the hardest sections of each ride. He’s an expert mechanic too who, not only helped me with some tweaks during our rides, but after my first tour, spent a day giving me a tutorial on motorcycle maintenance while we tuned up and upgraded a dozen different things on my bike.
For sure, I’m looking forward to more wrenching and more tours with Paul!
